First Overseas Student Athlete

28 June, 2016

Taiyo Industry Africa Inc.

At the beginning of this year, there was Kochi Chuo High School’s demand that they would like to receive female basketball players. Then we have started to look for tall basketball players. Fortunately we found Mfon-Obong Temitope Joshua, 16-year-old basketball player. That encounter led her where she is today.

In addition, we provided her man-to-man lesson based on our Japanese language/Japan-Africa cultural exchange business before she came to Japan.

"I have found Kochi Chuo High School, the students, people and the city very welcoming and an exciting place to be. It's been like a home away from home. The program is powered to fine tune the skills of youths in sports and education. It's such a privilege to be part of this project; and I am grateful to the Coordinators for that."
